Anto was shocked to find out that his teacher was mad at him. He didn’t know why his teacher could accuse him of reporting to the headmaster that the teacher was opening pornographic content on his cellular phone. Anto was confused of what happened. Only recently then Anto got the clues that someone (he  knew this person well) sent the the information to the teacher that he was the culprit………

The above idiom means “someone who pretends to be your best friend while secretly doing to harm you”. See the following example:

“It’s upsetting to learn that “A” whom I once viewed as a good colleague is in fact a snake in the grass”
